DAY 01: ARRIVE IN DELHI
New Delhi, the capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern India. Standing along the West End of Gangetic Plain, the capital city, Delhi, unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries, gardens and exotic shows. Comprising of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi, the city is a travel hub of Northern India. Narrating the city’s Mughal past, Old Delhi, takes you through the labyrinthine streets passing through formidable mosques, monuments and forts. The imperial city of New Delhi displays the finely curved architecture of British Raj.

On arrival at the Delhi airport you will be welcomed and greeted with flower by our Leisure Tours Representative. Transfer to your hotel in Delhi. (Rooms will be booked from noontime to facilitate immediate check inn.)

Day 02: DELHI – AGRA (204 Kms / 4 hours)
After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of New Delhi.
In New Delhi drive past Janpath, Rashtrapati Bhawan (Hindi for presidential palace) and India Gate is perhaps one of the most impressive structures built in the capital of India. This historic monument was built as a memorial to commemorate the 70,000 Indian soldiers killed in the First World War.

Visit the Humayun's Tomb, built by his wife Haji Begum in the 16th. Century. An early example of Mughal architecture considered the predecessor of the Taj Mahal. The elements in its design a squat building, lighted by high arched entrances, topped by bulbous dome and surrounded by the char bagh (garden divided into quadrants), water channels and fountains.

In the afternoon drive to Agra.

Agra stands on the right bank of the river Yamuna, was once the seat of the Mughal rulers, the zenith of art and an enshrined romance. A town famous for its beautiful medieval monuments. The passion of the Mughals for building endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world.
On arrival in Agra, check in at the Hotel.

Day 03: Agra
In the morning visit Taj Mahal* (Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday), a poem in white marble, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. It took twenty-two years and hard toil of more than twenty thousand workers to construct Taj Mahal. The beauty of the Taj Mahal is enchanting and it reflects the marvelous beauty of architecture. Taj Mahal symbolize the richness of art and architecture of the Mughal period

After Taj Mahal visit Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar on the west bank of the river Yamuna and beautified with palaces and gardens by Jehangir, Agra Fort today dominates the center of the city. The crescent-shaped fort with its 20-metre high, 2.4-km outer walls contains a maze of buildings that form a small city within a city.

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur (240 Kms / 5-6 hrs)
In the morning drive to Jaipur - established by Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693-1743) and painted pink by Maharaja Man Singh II when Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, visited Jaipur in 1876. The Royal heritage of Jaipur lives in its architecture and culture. The city in pink is symbolic of the hospitality that reigned in the Rajput culture. It a bustling capital city and a business center with all the trapping of modern metropolis but yet flavored strongly with an age-old charm that never fails to surprise a traveler.
On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri. It is a beautiful and deserted medieval city built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century to serve as the capital of his vast empire. The Mughals later abandoned this city for lack of water. In the vast courtyard stands the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti whose blessings are still sought by childless women. This tomb was originally built in red sandstone but was later on made with marble. The tombstone covered by cloth is under a canopy of ebony, mother of pearl and brass. Fatehpur Sikri had a short life of splendor.

Day 05: Jaipur
After breakfast, a day excursion takes you to the Amber Fort with Jeep / elephant ride.

En route photo stop at the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh of Jaipur constructed the Hawa Mahal in the year 1799. Hawa Mahal is a sample of the perfection of the architecture. It was built for women in the royal family to view the ceremonial processions on the street while seated behind the small windows.

Amber Fort is situated on the crest of a hill seven miles north of Jaipur is Amber, capital of the Kuchwaha Rajputs from 1037 to 1728. Man Singh I built it in a style to rival Mughal grandeur and opulence. The city-palace is protected by towering outer walls, a further wall runs for miles along the hills surrounding the palace.

In the afternoon visit City Palace, a combination of conventional Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. City Palace complex has more than a few palatial structures. It stretches across one-seventh of the area of the walled city. City Palace has been built with the combination of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The city palace houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the city palace museum.

Also visit Jantar Mantar, built between 1716. It is located within the city palace. Jantar Mantar contains a collection of instruments for observing the movements of sun, moon, planets and stars. It was built to develop the interest of the people in Astronomy.

Later enjoy Rickshaw Ride in the local lanes of Pink City.

Day 06: Jaipur – Delhi (approx 260 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)
Morning at leisure in Jaipur
Later in the day drive to Delhi.
Upon arrival in Delhi farewell dinner at a traditional Indian restaurant & then transfer to the international airport to board your flight back home
